Absolutely stellar devotion to customer service by Salim and his team. I spent two nights at this tented camp on the southern shores of Lake Natron and can't say enough good things about it. Thank you Bush 2 Beach and Lake Natron Camp for a wonderful weekend! Other highlights of the weekend were seeing the ancient hominid footprints a pretty and adventurous walk to an exquisite waterfall, where we could swim below the crashing water from above (certainly the best waterfall walk I’ve done)! and sundowners and delicious snacks atop a beautiful hill with 360 degree views around a landscape like you will see nowhere else in the world. We also found time for a sunset walk to the flamingo-filled lake’s edge, where we were treated to a beautiful and surreal palette of colours. We spent the day before the climb enjoying the spacious and tastefully appointed tents, swimming in the refreshing stream that bubbles below the camp, and enjoying watching the wildlife that comes close to camp. Lake Natron Camp guides Daudi and Salim were incredibly supportive and helpful through the climb, for which we were so grateful. We visited Lake Natron Camp in November 2016 to attempt an ascent of the daunting but beautiful Oldonyo Lengai Mountain – a once in a lifetime experience! Annie from Bush 2 Beach smoothly organized everything about our trip including selecting the best camp in the area (Lake Natron Camp), making sure we had a great, entertaining and knowledgeable driver guide (Bush 2 Beach’s Daniel) and understanding our group’s ability and so making sure we could do the mountain via the ‘easier’ (though still not easy!) route.
